Privacy
Fofzeg is a study tool. It is built to know as little about you as possible.
What we store
Only your learning progress: which items you've added to your review queue and their spaced-repetition schedule, your “could you say this?” self-ratings, your exam-date and scheduler preferences. That's it.
This is tied to an anonymous code. We store only a one-way SHA-256 hash of the code — never the code itself — so even a full database leak hands out no working credentials.
What we do NOT collect
- No email, password, name, or any personal information.
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party trackers, no ads.
- One cookie only — an
httpOnlycookie that holds your code so you stay signed in on this device. Nothing else.
Your code is a bearer key
Anyone who has your code can see and change your progress, so keep it private. Because we only store its hash, we cannot recover or reset it — if you lose it, your progress is gone.
Deleting your data
Go to your account and choose Delete all my data — this removes everything tied to your code, immediately and irreversibly. Separately, any account left untouched for 24 months is purged automatically.
Where it runs & contact
Fofzeg is self-hosted; your data lives in a single file on the server and is never shared or sold. Questions or deletion requests: privacy@fofzeg.lu.
